Ale et Ange: Refined and Vivid | Men’s Fashion
The search for unique, special menswear is an active priority in my life. I’m pleased that in this endeavor, there are some names that continue to bubble to the surface. Ale et Ange was a store I stumbled by about a year ago, and I keep coming back. There are a couple things that really strike me about the brand. I love their genuine approach to sourcing fabrics and creating the classical look in non-classical fabrications. I’m also quite pleased by the cultural thread that seems to lace every stitch of their garments down to the music selection in the store. There is definitely a heart in soul in that store; Osore Oyagha and Eloise Simonet are the lifeblood.
I’m going to force the use of a word so bare with me on the next sentence. In many ways I believe Ale et Ange is the harbinger for a movement that hasn’t really struck mainstream accord yet. You see the style rhythms echoing in the posts of bloggers like Street Etiquette. We see certain style icons and vintage-inspired clothing reflecting the same love of yesteryear. The re-application of classic with ties to an ever-developing future. There’s a clear level of intersection and inspiration between the music and the design. Check out the pictures in this articles, and more photos to come.
You can visit Ale et Ange in New York, located at 40 Rivington St in the Lower East Side of Manhattan.
