Appointment Trade Show NYC 2011 in Pictures | Events

APPOINTMENT

It’s that time of year my friends.  This past week, New York endured hours and hours of menswear trade shows featuring some really cool brands.  One of the smaller shows was Appointment.  It showcased some emerging contemporary talents, not to mention, just some incredible, but lesser known names.  I decided to focus my trade show photography on the details – things that pop; things of extraordinary construction; things that carried that tone of specialness you don’t get to see when you troll the other blogs out there.  Come and see Appointment through the eyes of Tucked.

Baron Wells - 1

Baron Wells - 2

Baron Wells – One of my favorite contemporary designers taking care of design and construction from the components to the craftsmanship.  What I love about Baron Wells, they take some really classic pieces and add the modern twists.  Shrunken club collars, now those are some of my favorite shirts to look at!

Tender Co - 5

Tender Co. – A brand I have come to truly respect.  The man behind the name takes considerable care to understand the history of his garments and adds his own unique twists.  I literally sat with him for 30-40 minutes listening to the tales of construction and inspiration behind every piece of his collection.  Now that’s love.

Waiting for the Sun - 1

Waiting for the Sun – These are just plain dope frames.  I mean some frames are made of bamboo, while others are made of tea wood.  Nothing like a good sustainable product that relates to fashion.

Unity - 1

U-ni-ty – There are some truly interesting pieces in this collection.  I love the not so subtle details, from the labeling to the blazer distressed stitching.  Always fun to find the new fashion out there.

Loden Dager – These guys have always been of great interest to me.  They are daring and fun.  They have seasons of ease and season of funky.  You have to appreciate a brand that shakes it up.

The Hill-side - 5

The Hill-Side – It is really hard not to be a fan of what the boys behind Hickoree’s and the Hill-side bring to the table each and every time at bat.  The fabrics are always fresh and ridiculously unique.  This spring/summer collection is no different…crazy cool!

More trade show coverage too come…I just have way to many pictures to edit!
