Mean Green | Watch Me Dress
I think there are a lot of guys out there who want to step outside of the box…but are being a little timid about it. Usually, when you think colorful pants, or pants with critters, your thoughts immediately go to “ivy league,” “prep,” or some other not-so-nice words for people who frequent the style of dress. Here at Tucked Style, we learn the rules then break them. Why? Because you really can’t be concerned with the population and its stereotypes. This is your style, your game to play by yourself. It’s your pen to write the story. Here’s my short essay…
I like colors. It isn’t necessarily about drawing attention, it’s more so about my personality – I don’t take things too seriously, and I’m goofy, if not weird. If you want to wear a nice washed out red or mean green pants, you need to be careful with fit. If you wear a too relaxed or generous fit, you will look like your college buddies or their little brother in high school. Go for a slim or tailored fit. When it comes to color, you don’t want to over do it. Dress your bright pants down with some more subtle tones…think neutral or subdued – especially, if you’re wearing this to work like I did. If this is your weekend gear, then experiment with another one or two bright colors.
I do not wear black shoes…except for some small exceptions. Please compliment your color story with rich brown leathers or something else NOT black. Blue and green always flow together, so that’s a safe bet if you’re just easing your way in with regards to the other clothing pieces. Lastly, I have to have my big face watches so I slapped on a chocolate tonal watch with a larger than normal face.
Feel free to shoot me questions if you have some, if not….see you soon!
