Keeping this one short and sweet. I have a lot of last minute errands to run before Tucked attends its first fashion show and part of what will undoubtedly be a marathon Fashion Week here in New York. To be quite honest, I’m a bit distracted anyway…can’t stop thinking about one more run at the gym as my “long-time-ago” abs keep trying to help me remember their old glory.
Fun times with this outfit. This is one of my most prominent vintage pieces. I have only worn it out to something once, and I always struggle to get the color palette right with this one. It was fun to see it all come together, the end result felt a little cinematic and prolific - regardless of how unimportant I am.
The coolness of this jacket is the plaid lining. I think it gives it this unique character with the extra advantage of choosing to style it a multitude of ways. I love the worn out, beaten down details as well. There are rips, cuts, and wholes just loitering the different avenues of the jacket. “Ain’t nothing like the real thing baby.” To compliment the jacket, you would think those boots look a bit vintage but they aren’t. I just do a good job of throwing them in tough situations. An avid lover of everything workwear, we made sure to bring the chambray on our journey. I don’t usually pop collars….but alas, my co-stylist wanted me to. You be the judge!
(P.S. I don’t smoke!)
